UCSB Elings Hall, Room 1601
The Mechanisms of Bacterial Toxin Delivery Conference will be held in Elings Hall, Room 1601 at the University of California Santa Barbara. Room 1601 is located on the first floor of Elings Hall, adjacent to Parking Structure 10.
The campus is few minutes north of the city of Santa Barbara, only 92 miles north of Los Angeles. With the recently improved Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) just next door to the campus, UCSB is easy to reach by air.
Driving Instructions to UCSB:
US 101 North to Highway 217. Bear right at the traffic circle. Turn left at the first light. The loading/receiving area is on the left before you enter the parking structure, next to the large liquid nitrogen tank. Parking in Lot 10 is for faculty and staff only, although metered stalls for coastal access are also available.
US 101 South to Patterson Ave offramp, turn left to cross the bridge over the 101, and again turn left to get on Highway 217 (the entrance ramp splits, 217 is to the left, 101 N is to the right.)
You may purchase a VIP parking permit and park on the top floor of Parking Structure 10. VIP Parking Permits are only availaible for purchase at the permit dispenser on the top floor of the parking structure. Pay stations accept payment via Visa and Mastercard in addition to $1 and $5 bills (Note: the pay stations do not give change.)
UC Faculty or Staff Permit Holders
There is a reciprocal parking agreement between all UC campuses. If you are in possession of a valid UC parking permit, there is no need to obtain an additional permit when arriving at UCSB. Please proceed to the Mesa Parking Structure as indicated on the map.
